Hi again, Mel Sanz here from In a Crafty Mood!
Today’s card is once again made using a stamp set from Jan’s DigiStamps called Malt Shop. This lovely stamp set is currently on sale so please go check it out.
Here is a preview of my card:
To Create the sign of the shop, I used the two Vinyl Records from
the set to create my own pattern paper. To achieve that, I had to copy paste
the images several time and then resize them all to make the pattern look random. Once
I printed my design, I then cut a 5 1/4 x 1 1/4 strip and colored the
background with my Copic RV14 and BG13. I then printed the Malt Shop Sign
and colored the Pink with RV13, RV14 and RV66 and the Blue with BG11, BG13 and
BG18. After fussy cutting the sign, I added two coats of Glossy Accent
to make it pop from the background.
On a 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Accent Opaque 80Lb Cardstock, I drew the Bricks, Door, Window, Table, Counter, Walls, Floor and Open Sign. I then proceeded to color it all using the following Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers:
Bricks and Floor: E33, E35, E37
Door & Window Frame, Countertop: IG1, IG2, IG4
Green: YG03, BG11, BG13
Table: BG11, BG13, BG18
Wall and Door: BG000, BG11
Window Canopy: RV13, RV14, RV66 and SN Clear Sparkle Pen
Ground: IG4, IG6
The Milkshakes were again printed and fussy cut from the same lovely
stamp set and colored with RV11, RV14 and RV66. Of course, I could not resist
to add some sparkle on the whip cream. As for the Jukebox, once printed, I used the following Copic and SN:
Green: YG03, BG11, BG13, BG18
Yellow: Y18, YR23
Pink: RV14, RV66
Grey: IG1, IG3
My original plan was to add some vinyl records on the wall behind the
counter but for lack of space, I decided to simply draw black spots of
different sizes to create a wallpaper effect.
As usual, to make my panel pop, I glued it on top of 2 pieces of black cardstock sized at 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 which in turn was mounted to a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ top folding Accent Opaque 110Lb Cardstock.
